Written December 30th 1903 by Margaret Ellen Swift, later wife of Sam Martleton, to her cousin Margaret Robinson, later wife of James Ashley Tisnsley. Both girls were granddaughters of Thomas Melling (1st July 1804 - 4th March 1854), one time landlord of the Hare & Hounds
